Cascade trains in groups structured to ensure that all our athletes make optimal use of their time training with their peers—both in terms of age and ability. Under the direction of the head coach with input from our site lead coaches, group placement is based on what is best for each individual athlete in order to provide proper development and to ensure long term success in the water.

WHY SWIM FOR CASCADE?
Our program is designed for an athlete’s LONG TERM development
as they progress through the three comprehensive phases: DISCOVER, CHALLENGE and ACHIEVE.
Teaching and training is IM-based, emphasizing all competitive strokes and distances.
Our goal is to develop well-rounded “versatile” athletes with abundant aerobic capacity.
Discover – Challenge – Achieve
With a focus on long-term development, our program allows for gradual development of athletes
in the early stages, developing a love of the sport as skills are developed and enhanced; increasing challenges, commitment and expectations as they progress—cultivating high-character traits to help prepare for success in and out of the water. Cascade fosters self-improvement, personal growth and goal achievement through a multi-phase "TEAM-first" process.
Cascade swimmers train to race, they do not train to train. Competition is fun and gives athletes extra motivation to do their best, providing hard-earned rewards and important feedback for improvement. Cascade values such as hard work, self-discipline and perseverance create a culture of positivity, motivated athletes and TEAM success.
TRYOUTS – NEW SWIMMERS TO CASCADE:
No appointment is necessary to have our coaches evaluate your swimmer. Just come to the beginning of any practice and let a coach know you are there to be evaluated. The coach will have your swimmer swim a couple of laps and ask them to demonstrate different strokes. Only takes a few minutes and afterwards the coach will be able to let you know what group is best for your swimmer to start.
New swimmers are not allowed to start practicing with their group
until all materials and fees are turned in and paid in full.
Thank you for your interest in Cascade Swim Club,
we look forward to seeing you at the pool.
