Club History

The Cascade Swim Club is a competitive USA Swimming team founded in February 1959. Our diversified program has always offered various levels of competitive swimming to meet the individual swimmer’s skills, interests and desires.  Swimmers on Cascade have excelled at every level through the years, including Olympic medalists Lynn Colella (Munich 1972) and Rick Colella (Munich 1972, Montreal 1976).

Cascade Swim Club has used a variety of pools and locations over the years and now uses pools at Evans, Helene Madison, Rainier Beach, Queen Anne, Ballard, Aqua Club and Shoreline. Cascade has cooperated with the pool programs of the cities of Seattle and Shoreline to develop competitive swimming in the North King County area. The Club fully expects the future to be as progressive and rewarding as the past has been. Cascade Swim Club has both programs and coaches for every level of experience and competition from the local level to national and international levels.
