Aaron has set several meet records in Breaststroke, Butterfly and 200 IM. Aaron intends to further his coaching career with the Ducks and is currently working toward his Level 2 Coaching certification through USA Swimming and looks forward to obtaining future certifications. Aaron has a rich love and respect for the sport of swimming and is devoted to bringing the best knowledge of coaching to the pool every day.

Director of the Foothill High Youth site: Bethany Williams - Bethany is a former swimmer of the Aqua Ducks. She has been coaching with the Aqua Ducks for 6 years and enjoys teaching and coaching the new athletes. She has been teaching swimming for over 15 years as well as being a head coach for local High Schools for the past 6 years. She is the Site Director for our Shasta College site and enjoys helping children of all ages explore swimming. A graduate of Chico State in Kinesiology and movement studies, she brings her knowledge of her degree, her smile and caring nature to our team. She is married to a former swimmer, Chris and has three wonderful children, Clark, Clayton, and Evalette.

Assistant Coach:   Lynn Lathouwers - Lynn joined the Aquaducks coaching staff in April of 2021.  She learned how to swim at 5 years old and has been in or around the water ever since. She comes to Redding with over 15 years of swim coaching and teaching experience.  Lynn played water polo for UC Davis before moving to Jackson Wyoming for many years. Upon moving back to California, she added water polo coach to her story, spending 6 years coaching high school and age group polo.  She has coached and taught swimming to all ages: 6 months to 80 years old. She loves helping swimmers achieve success and gets super excited when they learn a new skill.

Assistant Coach:  Rob Smith - A lifelong swimmer, Rob grew up on the pool deck with a dad as a swim coach.  Some of his lasting memories are summer swim meets, playing in the team area, and camping with the team at meets.  In high school he swam for Shasta High as a standout freestyler and backstroker.   Recruited to swim with Coach Ernie Maglischo at California State University, Bakersfield; he honed his skills to become a competing force in Division II swimming.  During his freshman year, he earned All American Honors and a National Championship ring as a member of Roadrunner team.   The following year Rob took the opportunity to move up into Division I as a Sun Devil at Arizona State University.  There he continued to achieve success competing for ASU on the national team all three years, earning All American Honors, helping his team earn a top ten finish his senior year.  Throughout college Rob coached age group teams in California and Arizona and contributed to the ASU program as a volunteer assistant coach.  Rob completed his degree in Exercise Science from ASU with honors and continued onto his post graduate education with a degree in Chiropractic.  Excited to work with the kids, Rob takes his past swimming experience and his acquired body of knowledge and applies it to his coaching.  Not afraid to try new approaches and always looking for the fun in practice he abides by a simple philosophy in coaching, "Every swimmer has unrealized potential."  He finds his role as a coach is to challenge the swimmer and support their growth as a whole person.

Assistant Coach:   Audrey Bull - Audrey is a Senior at Shasta High School, and she has been swimming with the Ducks for 9 years. She also competes for the Shasta High School swim team, and she won Swimmer of the Year for the 2021 season. Audrey is an AP and Honors student, and she is aiming to swim for a Division I University after she graduates. Additionally, Audrey is an Athlete Representative for the Sierra Nevada Swimming Board of Directors, and she had the opportunity this past April to attend the national USA Swimming Conference in Denver, CO. Her highlight of the conference was being able to meet Missy Franklin and Rowdy Gaines. The 2022 summer season will be her second summer as a coach, and she loves being able to teach new swimmers how to love the sport, and she values learning new skills from her swimmers as well. She is commonly known as "El Toro" in the water, and her favorite events are the 200 Butterfly, 200 Breast, and 400 IM.
