Rising Stars Program

 
Coach Chris with Dev SwimmersThe Rising Stars Program is designed for kids 5 -12 years old who are interested in learning basic competitive swimming technique.  Our emphasis is on learning proper swimming fundamentals, strong skills and efficient strokes.  The program has been designed by ASA Rising Stars Coordinator Kevin Wagman, and and is coached by Kevin and the assistant coaches.  Coaches work with swimmers both in and out of the water.  We have found that they learn quickly at a young age and it is beneficial for them to practice proper technique. 

Our hope is that our younger swimmers will join our competitive swimming program when they are ready.

Swimmers are placed in one of four levels: Level 1 (Bolger only), Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 (Stroke & Turn).  Parents choose the level during registration, but all swimmers will be quickly assessed during the first class of each season.  Note that Level 1 is offered at Bolger only.

Rising Stars classes are held once a week on Sunday afternoons at Stone Ridge and Bolger.  The program has three sessions throughout the year -- Fall, Winter and Spring -- with breaks between each session.  Rising Stars is not offered during the summer months.
