2021 Coaches

Sam Rockaway - Head Coach

Sam is a Junior at Kennesaw State University, where he is studying Mechanical Engineering. He swam on the varsity swim team at Roswell High School and was active in club swimming at KSU. This will be his third year coaching for the rapids. After being an assistant coach for two years, he was offered the Head Coach position! Sam also has three years of lifeguarding experience and teaches swim lessons at KSU during the school year. He is looking forward to an amazing season this summer!

Alex Kerce - Assistant Coach

Alex is a junior at Augusta University, where she is working towards her BS in Biology with the intent of pursuing a career in ecology, and has been with the Rapids for eight years. In the past, she has swum year-round and for her high school. Alex remains involved outside of school in her university's Biology Club, her sorority, and through environmental research. In her free time, she enjoys tending to her portable garden, reading, birdwatching, and making trips to the beach. She's spent the past five seasons volunteer and assistant coaching, has four years of experience as a lifeguard, and will be returning for the third year to her position as a pool manager at the Rec. She can't wait to get started with another amazing summer!

Anna Trively - Assistant Coach

Anna is a 2019 graduate of Roswell High School where she swam all four years and was a Captain in her senior year. At RHS, Anna was involved with the Robotics team and played cello in the orchestra. This is Anna's tenth year swimming with the Rapids and her third as an assistant coach after two years as a volunteer coach. Anna is a Junior at Georgia Tech studying Industrial Engineering.  

Krysta Schwab - Assistant Coach

Krysta is a rising senior at Roswell High school, she has been a lifeguard for 3 years and helped coach the Roswell rapids in 2019. She has been on the RHS swim team for 3 years, and has swam for multiple teams throughout the years.

Carrison Bulloch - Assistant Coach

Carrison is a rising senior at Roswell High School. She has swam varsity for 3 years and plans on continuing for her senior year. She also lifeguarded at the rec pool for the past 2 years and has coached the Rapids previously. She is very excited about being able to work with the kids again.

Connor Erickson - Assistant Coach

Connor is a rising senior at Roswell high school. He has been a swim coach and lifeguard for 3 years now at the Roswell recreation center. He has swam varsity for 3 years at Roswell and plans on continuing the next year.

Virginia Claire Lehmann - Assistant Coach

Virginia Claire Lehmann will be graduating Holy Spirit Preparatory School this May. She will be attending Sewanee The University of the South in the fall. Virginia Claire swam for the Roswell Rapids from 2008-2012 as well as swimming for Stingrays year round, and she was the captain of her High School swim team her Junior and Senior years. This is her second year as assistant coach for the Rapids.

Mariam Demiann - Assistant Coach

Mariam is a rising senior at Milton High School, She has been swimming competitively since she was five. She has been guarding for three years and has been a volunteer and assistant coach for the Roswell Rapids for a three years. Mariam wishes you all have a fantastic season. Goooo Rapids!

Marina Demiann - Assistant Coach

Marina is a rising junior at Milton High School, she has been swimming since she was six. This is her first year being an assistant coach and lifeguarding. Her favorite stroke is butterfly after years of hating. She’s excited for the summer and wishes everyone an amazing season!

Simon Pellegri - Assistant Coach

Simon Pellegri is a rising junior at Roswell High School. He began swimming with the Rapids in 2012 when he was 6 years old. 2021 will mark his 10th season with the team and he's excited to become a coach. In addition to the Rapids, he swam varsity at Roswell High School his freshman and sophomore years. He also plays for the North Springs High School Water Polo Team. He's looking forward to summer and a great swim season.
