Our swim team operates successfully because of the support and dedication of parent volunteers from all families.
Each family is required to complete volunteer obligations. The specific number of volunteer points each family will be required to earn will be determined each season based on the number of families on our team and the total number of volunteers needed for swim meets and committees.
Just like in years past, you may earn volunteer points for participating in committees and volunteering at meets. Due to the time requirements of committee chair and coordinator jobs, most of these jobs will fulfill a family’s volunteer requirement for the season.
To provide families with more flexibility in fulfilling their volunteer requirements, we have identified several meet jobs as “half meet jobs”. Therefore, families can elect to volunteer for half or full meets as desired. Half meet jobs include: timer, clerk of course assistants, runners, heat ribbons, and concessions.
For the 2019 season, each family will be required to earn a minimum of 16 volunteer points. In the system, four points is roughly equivalent to volunteering for a full meet.
Once the season begins, you will be able to track your volunteer obligations under My Account/Invoices/Service Hours.
