Sanctioned Meets Policy

The Larkey Sharks Swim Team is an organization that is focused on providing a positive culture that fosters the growth and development of each swim team member.  As a team, the growth of each swimmer is tested through different types of events, such as dual meets, invitational meets and championship meets.  These events are scheduled by the Larkey Meet Director and are considered sanctioned Larkey events.  Any swim team member in good standing that participates in these events will have their times count toward pops, county qualifying times, and/or swim team records.

Any swim team member that swims in a non-sanctioned meet will NOT have their times recorded and will NOT count toward any pops, county qualifying times or swim team records.

If a swimmer wants to swim in a non-sanctioned Larkey Sharks Swim Team event, approval must be granted in advance by the head swim team coach and the meet director.

Policy adopted by the Larkey Sharks Swim Team, November 2017.

Any questions regarding these policies should be addressed with the Meet Director or another member of the Swim Team Board.
