2020 AAU COVID-19 Information for CMSL Teams

CMSL will not be obtaining a league sanction from AAU for the 2020 season. 
  • Any CMSL team that is interested in practicing during the 2020 season will need to purchase an AAU club membership and each swimmer will be required to be an AAU member.  
  • Teams that would like to purchase a membership and DO NOT anticipate hosting any events will need to purchase a level 1 membership.
  • Teams that anticipate hosting a meet at their pool will be required to purchase a level 2 membership and will be required to obtain individual sanctions from AAU for each event.  
NOTE: Results from events that are not conducted under the CMSL league sanction will not be valid for CMSL statistics, qualifications or records.

NOTE:  Any team that wishes to host an event and would like to schedule a paid official will need to contact the Maryland Officials Club directly to arrange for a paid official or, optionally, have a USA Swimming certified or YMCA certified official supervise the meet.

Club Registration
AAU Level 1 Club Criterion: Any CMSL team that will only be hosting dual meets that appear on the CMSL schedule may register as an AAU Level 1 Club in 2019

AAU Level 2 Club Criterion​: ​Any CMSL team that will be hosting meets NOT LISTED in the 2019 CMSL schedule must register as and AAU Level 2 Club AND obtain a sanction through AAU at this site: AAU Event Licensing

Athlete Bulk Registration
AAU provides the ability to bulk register athletes using a specific csv file format.  Instructions/file format are available from the bulk register option on the AAU site.  For teams using HyTek Team Manager, AAU provides the ability to bulk register swimmers exported from TM using a specific athlete report csv export format.  For instructions on preparing your export and bulk registering, click the link below:
