This award program recognizes each swimmer as they improve their times and achieve established “goal times” during the season. An embroidered star will be awarded to the swimmers when a “goal time” is achieved. These stars can be sewn onto their swim towels, sweats, etc. Each time a swimmer achieves a new “goal time” level in each stroke, he/she is awarded the appropriate star. Only one star per level per stroke is awarded. The levels start with white as the lowest, red as the second level, blue as the third, and gold as the top level, also known the County level. When a swimmer achieves the gold level time, that means they met the County Meet qualifying time for their age group. Each County qualifier is awarded one gold star for each stroke, and a gold LMYA swim cap.
