Burnsville High School Swim & Dive Boosters

We are a non-profit organization for the sole benefit of promoting swimming within our school and our community.  The organization raises funds to offset the cost of swimming, provide the best equipment, expand the program by funding additional coaching, and offer scholarships to students in need.

Board of Directors

Yolanda Gant - President

Yolanda has 5 children her youngest Kayla is a on the girls swim team she has been part of the team since 7th grade.

She feels that communication is very important for the whole team, this included parents.  She hopes parents and swimmers feel free to bring their ides to the table and hopes to continue to build the great swimming community her predecessors created.  She would also love to see involvement for as many families as possible for our volunteer opportunities.

Holly Christopherson- Co-Treasurer

My name is Holly Christopherson and I am the current co-treasurer for the BHS Swim & Dive Teams. My daughter Kiah has been on the girls swim team since 8th grade.  It has been fun watching the girls team grow together over the years and look forward to an exciting season.  If you have any suggestions, the board would love to hear them - please consider joining us at the ongoing board meetings.

We are currently looking for a second co-treasurer, preferably from the boys team with a younger swimmer/diver to carry on the torch. If you have questions or are interested, please reach out to Yolanda!

Kelly Tomas - Fund Raising Chair

Kelly has four kids that have attended Burnsville schools.  She has 2 daughters that swim, Megan and Anna, and Megan is a diver as well.  She became part of the booster board during the fall 2017 season.  She is passionate about helping and supporting our team.  She was instrumental in adding the diving team in 2017 and also worked hard to raise funds for new starting  blocks in 2018.  She will continue to coordinate and manage fundraising efforts throughout both the girls and boys seasons.  She believes by setting goals and working together, with full participation from student-athletes and families, a lot can be accomplished.  If you have fundraising suggestions, please reach out to her!

Joy Piccolino - Volunteer Coordinator

Joy has two daughters who have been on the BHS Girls Swim & Dive Team.  Her youngest, Ava, is currently on the team.  Joy became part of the booster board at the end of the fall 2018 season.  Volunteers are an intergral part of the functioning of the team and volunteering is a great way to get to know other parents.  She would like to see more parents involved and hopes that this will buld a more cohesive group of parents to support the team.  If you have any questions about volunteering, don't hesitate to ask!
