KSTC Swim Coaches 2018
Marley began swimming at age 4 at Lakeridge Swim Club where both of her parents grew up. When she was 5, her family switched to KSTC. From 1995-2008, she swam for KSTC under legendary Coach Mark Prothero (her dad.) She also swam for KING Aquatic Club and Kentwood High School. After graduating, she went on to swim at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for 4 years. She finished off her swimming career at the Olympic Trials in 2012.
Post-swimming, Marley coached one year as a volunteer at UNLV. In 2013 she moved back home to coach at KSTC and has been with us ever since. She has also spent time coaching at Kennedy High School with her brother, Sean, and has coached with KING Aquatic Club. She also works as an Inside Sales Coordinator at Seattle Safety LLC.
Marley is extremely passionate about coaching and the sport of swimming and feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to give back to the sport that gave so much to her. In her free time, she enjoys a good balance of adventure and relaxation; hiking, kayaking, backyard BBQs, binge watching her favorite TV show, and most importantly spending quality time with friends and family.
