Our talented and experienced coaches are responsible for teaching dives and techniques, designing daily practice sessions representing LMT at League meetings and sharing their love and enthusiasm for diving. They are available after practice to discuss your child’s progress.
Anyone interested in coaching must email Coach Joe prior to April 1st. Coaches will be notified by May 1st.
2019 Coaching Staff
Head Coach Dive Team:
2019 will be Coach Joe’s 11th year coaching the LMT Diving Team. Coach Joe was the Head Diving Coach for Pennsbury High School for 8 years, and while at Pennsbury, many of his divers qualified for districts and a few qualified for states. Last year, Coach Joe started coaching at Bensalem High School, where he was very successful in teaching 7 beginners how to dive and even brought a few to Suburban One League Championships. This year, Coach Joe returned to Pennsbury and had a successful year in which his woman’s team swept Suburban One League Championships. Also, Coach Joe stepped into a collegiate coaching position this year and was an assistant coach at Princeton University. He continues to run private lesson programs, as well as a club team called Falcon Dive Club, for beginners and experienced divers that wish to improve their skills. In addition, he has attended many camps run by 7 time Olympic coach Dick Kimball. Coach Joe's enthusiastic coaching style has grown LMT's dive team into one of the largest teams in recent history, winning both the Lower Bucks League Championship and the Team Sportsmanship award in the past. Joe is the father of two daughters, both of whom have dove and now coach for LMT with him.
Dive Team Assistant Coaches:
Alex will be returning for her 8th year as an LMT dive coach. She began diving for LMT at age 11. While at Pennsbury High school, she was undefeated in league meets her junior year and also won the Suburban One League Championship that year while setting a pool record. Alex then dove at Boston University for 3 years and graduated in December 2017. She recently had a successful year coaching at Bensalem High School, and brought a few beginner divers to Suburban One League Championships and had one district qualifier.
Nicole will be returning for her 6th year as an LMT dive coach. She has been a part of the LMT dive team since she was 8 years old and holds multiple records for the team and league. Nicole was a nationally ranked diver at the Junior Olympic level, and at Pennsbury High School, Nicole was undefeated in high school dual meets, broke numerous records, and medaled all 4 years at the PA State Championships. Nicole just finished her second year at UNC Wilmington, where she continues her diving career in the Colonial Athletic Association League.
Paid diver coaches must be members of the dive team AND either:
1. rising High School Seniors (or recent grads)
2. rising High School Seniors IF they have previously been a volunteer coach the previous summer
No coaching positions will be guaranteed to anyone
