Inclement Weather Policy
First things first, Always check your email if you are not sure. If you don't see an email, the following will apply:
If the pool is open, there will be practice.
Do not call the pool or the township building to ask about the status of practice. Look out your window and make the best educated decision you can.
In the case of a thunder storm during practice, a delay may occur until the storm passes. The pool policy is to close after the first thunder or lightning in the area. The pool will reopen 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning strike.
We will not post updates on the website as the weather changes constantly (and we are volunteers!) Remember, summer storms can be in all different parts of the county at different times and usually pass through quickly.
We will try to send text alerts or emails if we cancel practice. To receive alerts, please log into your account and add your phone # for text messages.
In the case of a thunder storm during meet day, please do not contact the coaches or meet directors to ask if the meet is still on – IT IS…. In the case of inclement weather, proceed to the meet as scheduled to be there at 5:30. A delay may occur (or meet interruption) until the storm passes. Remember, summer storms can be in all different parts of the county at different times and usually pass through quickly.
Thank you for your cooperation.
The National Lightning Safety Institute recommends waiting 30 minutes after the sound of thunder is last heard before resuming activities.
