Chris Moralez- Deer Park Aquatics Director

I was born and raised in Corpus Christi and graduated from Carroll HS in 1990. I was a State Finalist, Regional champion and District record holder in various events. I also qualified for Jr Nationals, Sr Nationals as well as an All-American in the 100 Breaststroke and 200 IM. I attended Texas A&M University in College Station and competed for the Aggie Swim Team under Mel Nash and current A&M Men’s Head Coach, Jay Holmes. I swam a personal best 58.78 in the 100-yard breaststroke at the 1991 Southwest Conference Championships. Even though that was my last competitive swim, my passion for swimming never faded and I continued to return to Corpus Christi during the summers to coach summer league. In 1995, I graduated with a BA in History and married my lovely wife and strongest supporter, Veronica. We have 4 wonderful daughters Alexis (attending Texas State University), Christina (attending and running for the University of North Texas), Priscilla (attending Texas State) and Sierra who is currently at Deer Park HS. In 2006, I decided to pursue my dream of coaching full time and accepted my first high school coaching position at CC King HS where in my first two years I was awarded All-South Texas and District Coach of the Year. During my 9 years at King HS, I had the honor of coaching 48 State Qualifiers, 1 State Champion, 5 All-Americans, 25 Academic All-Americans and over 80 TISCA All-Academic swimmers. I was also the Age Group Head Coach for Coastal Bend All Stars where I was able to coach numerous TAGS and National Qualifiers. My motivation and passion to coach swimmers is in direct relation to their dreams, desires, dedication, discipline and determination.

Bridgett Hitchock-Head Coach

Coach Bridgett comes to the Seals from a lifetime of swimming and a swimming family. She swam with the seals when she was young; in high school she was a member of the Deer Park Lady Deer swim team. Coach Bridgett has enjoyed teaching and working in the aquatic environment since she was young through being a junior swim instructor, lifeguard, lifeguard instructor, and developmental swim team head coach. She attended college at San Jacinto College, Trinity Valley Community College and University of Houston Clear Lake.  At UHCL, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in fitness and human performance.  She is currently a science teacher in DPISD and works hard to merge her classroom and poolside experiences to provide her athletes with the best coaching possible.
