Announcer: Start announcing at 4:45 pm T/Th or 7:45 am Saturdays and prepared to stay the entire meet to:

  • Call the swim events
  • Announce swimmers
  • Recognize sponsors, and
  • Make special team announcements

Concessions:
Assist at the teams’ main concession stand (cashier, plate food, and serve drinks). Shifts:

  • Weekdays:
    • Early-shift starts at 4:15 pm to help set-up and works until 7 pm (Do not leave when the late shift arrives. All workers needed during dinner rush.)
    • Late shift starts at 6:30pm and stays for clean-up (about 20 minutes past the last event.)
  • Saturdays:
    • Early-shift starts at 7:15 am to help set-up and works until 10 am. (Do not leave when the late shift arrives. All workers needed during mid-morning rush.)
    • Late shift starts at 9:30 am and stays for clean-up (about 20 minutes past the last event.)

Floater/Overflow Worker:  Ad-hoc position, parent will work and must be prepared to assist in any part of the meet as needed, determined by the Meet Worker Coordinator; stays throughout the entire meet. A parent may only sign-up for this job once during the swim season.  

Official:  Meet positions include stroke, turn and finish judges, referee and starter-attendance at a pre-season clinic certification is required.

Runner: Collect time, place-finish and DQ cards and delivers to scoring table after each event; also provides hospitality to timers, coaches and officials; stays throughout the entire meet.

Scorer:  Sort swimmers’ time cards by finish placement or reads time to computer entry person.

Team Area Supervisor: Supervise the 6 & under and 7/8 age group team area to assist with the line-up of swimmers for their events; will really help out senior swimmer/coaches; also maintains safety in the lower pool and pool deck. Reserved for parents with 6 & under, 7-8 swimmers and new families only.

Timer: Arrive for pre-meet meeting with officials at 4:45 pm T/Th or 7:45 am on Saturdays. Use a digital stopwatch to record swimmers’ times during the meet.
