The LCRC Gators Swim Team is a summer recreation swim team composed of boys and girls from the ages of 4 to 18 years of age.  The coaches will focus on developing proper stroke and turn techniques so that all swimmers have an opportunity to improve.

We don’t measure improvement of swimming skills solely by the color of ribbons won or points scored in meets.  Rather, our goal is for team members to achieve improved times in all individual events throughout the season.

Our secondary goal for the 2018 season is to build an entire team of swimmers that can compete successfully with the top teams in our conference.  In other words, we measure the team’s success by the success of all team members, not by the success of a few.

Communication will be sent through our team website lcrcgators.com. Upon completion of registration you will have access to the Gator swim team website to be able to sign up for volunteer jobs and to sign in/out of meets.  If you’re a returning swimmer you may use the same login information you used last year.

For each swimmer, the fees include team registration fees, awards ceremony and hospitality costs. The fees also include supervised team practices up to five days per week, beginning in the first week of April and continuing through Championships in July.  (Gator swim team fees do not include Norcal Swim League fees).

Volunteer Policy

Our league swim teams are run with volunteers.  Each family must provide at least one adult to work a shift at the swim meets.   If you chose not to volunteer for the minimum of six shifts (per family) during the regular season and the minimum of two shifts (per family) at Championships, it will result in a charge (maximum of $280) to your LCRC house account to the Gator swim team at the end of the season. Note that families with only a 6 & under swimmer will be required to complete only 1 shift at Championships.  We will prorate the charge (crediting your family $35 per volunteer shift) if you fulfill a portion of your required shifts.  Remember, swim team depends on volunteerism. Registration documents are not complete for returning or new swimmers without this volunteer commitment.  Volunteer job descriptions are available at lcrcgators.com.  Most jobs will be filled on a first-come first-served basis and will be available online at LCRCGators.com, prior to each swim meet.   A few jobs that require special training will be filled by the volunteer coordinators prior to each meet.  Some opportunities to volunteer at events besides meets will be announced throughout the season.  In contrast to sign ups for the dual meets, jobs for Champs will be pre-assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator, and you will be notified of your assignment prior to the weekend of Champs.
