Fridays are Fun Relay days. Please try to get to the pool about 10 minutes early for relays for all three levels 1, 2 & 3.

Afternoon Practices

From the Coaches:

We have purposely set up the dryland schedule to compliment the swimming. We want as many kids as possible swimming in the morning. If you absolutely cannot get your kids to morning practice, then afternoon is offered. Please make every effort to have the kids in the pool in the morning. The dryland classes for levels 3-6 are in the afternoon. We want the kids to come to as many of these classes as possible. These are strength and stretching classes and are only twice a week. They are designed to help our swimmer become more flexible and gain coordination and strength. Those things will benefit the swimmers greatly. We have six weeks left, that is only 12 times you have to bring them to the pool twice a day.

If your kids are 13 or older, they may join group ex classes as well. This is the first time our swimmers have been offered the opportunity to take yoga or another group ex class. They must behave and be serious in class. If they goof around they will be asked to leave. We do not want to lose the priviledge, so please have a conversation with your teens before they take a class. The other option for a second workout is a few kids can group together or go in the gym alone. If they have started the Fitness First program and gotten their orange card, then they can use the cardio room or the weight room. Again, they must act growm up and use the equipment correctly. This is the perfect thing to do after they have a snack and rest from their morning swim workout.
