Swimming is a family sport, and your participation is vital to the smooth operation of the Gold River Stingrays. Throughout the season, each family must accrue 25 volunteer credits, excluding Championships. If your swimmer is registered up for a meet, a family member needs to sign up for a shift at that meet. Once you are signed up for a job, if for any reason you are unable to work your shift, you are then required to find your own replacement.
If you are a no-show, you will be charged $50 for that missed shift. Should you fall short of these 25 volunteer credits, there will be a charge of $10 per credit. Please be sure to facilitate any/all changes in a timely manner via email with our Volunteers Coordinator, Bethany Newman. firstname.lastname@example.org
Please always sign in or out for every meet. [This includes Championships.] Early signups ensure the job of your choice. If you are not signed up in advance of the deadline, a job will be assigned for you by our Volunteer Coordinator to make sure all jobs are assigned.
Mini-Rays families must also work during meets in which their swimmer participates.
The two-day Championships meet requires each family to work two shifts per day. Families of 6&Us have two shifts on Saturday only. Shifts at Championships do not count toward your volunteer points for the regular season. All other rules are applicable as stated above.
Jobs Posting Schedule
Volunteer jobs will open up two weeks in advance for scheduled meets An email will be sent to alert all members when volunteer sign ups will open, so that everyone has advanced notice. Volunteer sign-ups will close at midnight the Wednesday before each scheduled meet. Families who have not signed up will be asked to fill empty volunteer positions to ensure a well run event. Our team takes pride in hosting organized meets and providing volunteer support to teams hosting our away meets.
We will use the email address/es you have registered so that you are assured of receiving all notifications. If you need to use different address/es at any time during the season for our team's internal communication, please email our Volunteers Coordinator.
