     Learn To Swim

The Rio del Oro swim lesson program is designed to provide a positive learning experience for all levels of swimmers from a toddler taking lessons for the first time to a competitive swimmer seeking to prefect a stroke. Our program is all about providing an environment that all children can enjoy the pool and make swimming a life long love.

It is our mission to make sure that your child has everything that he or she needs in order to learn to swim. Children are allowed and encouraged to set goals, work hard, improve, build esteem, and increase their self confidence. By signing your child up for lessons, you are giving them the experience all this.

Our new swim lesson director Taylor Moore is a recent graduate of the University of the Pacific with a degree in Marketing. While at UOP, Taylor was an NCAA qualifier and is a current school record holder in the 800 Freestyle relay. During college, Taylor was the head coach at a summer recreational program, Lincoln Village West, and was most recently an Asst. Senior coach at Lodi Swim Club. Taylor is currently the Pre-Senior coach for Rio’s own competitive team Spare Time Aquatics. Taylor has coached a multitude of swimming levels and believes that all kids should love to swim.

Taylor began his swimming career here at Rio Del Oro when he was nine years old and continued to be a Rapid until he was 17. He attended  Jesuit High School, where he was a 3-time All-American in the 50 and 100 freestyle and a 2-time San Joaquin Section Champion.

In his free time, Taylor enjoys the outdoors and tries to go to the Sierra’s as much as he can to fly-fish. He is passionate about swimming, he is excited to share his love of the sport with kids who are learning to love the water. He loves working with children and being by the pool, we are excited for his enthusiasm in leading Rio’s swim lessons program.
