RST Overview

Rocklin Swim Team is the premier aquatics program in Rocklin California. Rocklin Swim Team is a non profit organization, run by its elected Board of Directors.  All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraising events. We encourage members to take an active role in committees and fundraisers that support the team as a whole. We offer the following programs with more information noted below and also available at

·           SWIM LESSONS for all and Adaptive Swim Lessons (swimmers with mental or physical disabilities)

·         SPLASH (pre-competitive summer recreational swim team)

·         WAVE (summer league competitive swim team)

·         MAVERICKS (USA year round swim team)

·         Fall/Winter Team and Spring Clinic to extend the season for summer league swimmers

Swim Lessons:

In 2012 we were asked to take over management of the City of Rocklin's summer aquatics program.  We offer a range of classes from group lessons, private or semi-private.  These are offered in late Spring and summer months. For group descriptions please click here. Registration and more information will be available in the late Spring of each year.

SPLASH, (Pre Competitive Recreational Swim Team):

Rocklin SPLASH swim team if our non-competitive swim team from June to August where children have the ability to learn or enhance beyond what is taught in traditional swim lessons.  This is sometimes the next evolution after years of lessons if a competitive swim team is not a consideration. Swimmers are split by age (6+Under, 7-8, and 9+Up) and have the opportunity to compete in a season-ending mock meet.

WAVE (Competitive Recreational Swim Team):

Rocklin WAVE swim team is our recreational swim team that is part of the Northern California Swim League (NCSL).  Starting in 2016, we will swim in the Gold Rush conference, the second fastest conference in the league and is very competitively aligned.

Our swim season begins the first week in April and runs through the end of July.  Tryouts typically take place in March and will be announced on our website.  During the Rocklin USD school year, we have practice every weekday evening during April, May and early June.  Once school is out, practice times move to morning sessions; exact times for each age group will be published on the website at the beginning of our season.

Our practices are held at the Whitney High School pool and our home meets take place at the 8-lane Rocklin High School pool.  The address for our home meets (Rocklin High School) is 5301 Victory Lane Rocklin, CA 95765.

MAVERICKS (Year Round USA Swimming):

Rocklin MAVERICKS Swim Team is our year round USA Swimming program for swimmers 18 years of age and under. The goal of the Mavericks is to help shape swimmers to become vibrant self-motivated people and to support swim careers beyond high school. The program is progressive and adapts training to meet the needs of swimmers at each level. Find out more information here

In addition to the normal summer season, our Rocklin Mavericks swim team also offers a Fall and Winter Team to allow recreational swimmers to stay in the water during the off-season. Fall Swim usually runs first week in September through middle of November.  Winter Swim (if offered) takes place during months of December and January.  Please note that the Fall & Winter Teams are separate from the year-round Mavericks competitive program and you do not need to be a Mavericks swimmer to participate. However, all swimmers must be USA Swim registered under Mavericks in order to train and compete for these off months. This program is for swimmers 7 years old and older and is not a "learn-to-swim" program.

Rocklin WAVE Swim Team offers a swim clinic during March and April with registration open mid January.  All swimmers in the region can register as long as they can swim 50 yards unassisted.  Swimmers can attend a maximum of 3 days per week.  SPRING CLINIC is a great way to re-acclimate your swimmers back into the water before the Splash and Wave Season.
