Officials Clinics


The referee, turn and stroke judges, and starter are the officials who run meets.  They are parent volunteers.  In order to become an official, you must attend one of the Naperville Swim Conference clinics that are listed below.

NSC Training for Swimming Officials
This is a SAVE THE DATE for the 2018 Naperville Swim Conference Training Course for Summer Officiating.
This course is slated to run for approximately 2 hours. The course will be divided into a required clinic for all non-currently certified USA/YMCA Stroke & turn officials and an optional referee & starter round table discussion.
There will be separate documentation required for currently certified USA/YMCA Stroke & Turn officials.
The dates for 2018 courses:
Participants will be required to sign­in for the course toward the end of the session.
• Sign­Ups will be sent in April.
• Due to NSC Policies, all training materials will be posted online prior to training.
• These training materials will not be provided at the training session.
• Please bring a pen or pencil to the training course.

Note - attending one of the clinics counts as one of your worker assignments.  Past swimming experience is not required to be an official.  You will be trained at the clinic.
