Classic/City Meets

Classic and City Meets

The swim conference hosts 2 championship meets at the end of the season. The Classic Meet is for any child, age 12 or younger who would like to swim in an end of season championship meet, against many other teams at the same time, but has not qualified for the City Meet. It's a great way to experience what a winter swim meet is like.

The City Championship meet has swimmers from every team competing. There are minimum qualification times for each event at the city meet (times listed on our site).  A swimmer making a "City Time" has earned the opportunity to swim against the very best swimmers in the conference.  Swimmers at both meets are awarded big fancy ribbons when they place in the top sixteen in each event.  Please note that if swimmers make a city time in an event, they are not eligible to swim that event at the Classic Meet.

Parents are required to work a job in whichever championship meet your child is swimming. Jobs will be posted as soon as we receive our assignments.

If your child is swimming at Classic, their last practice will be on July 21st. If your child has qualified and is swimming at City, their last practice will be on July 28th.
