Clare Ahearn, Assistant Coach
Hola Camponistas! I am Coach Clare and I am so excited for this upcoming season! I have been swimming for Campolindo Cabana Club since I was five years old in the six and under age group. That's a total of 13 summers of CCC camaraderie, from alligator races, pancake breakfasts, belly flop cheers, ice cream parties, tye dyes, pizza, to skits, and of course, dedicated swimming! I have made so many amazing memories from our little team of orange and black and I can’t wait to make more! This year will be my sixth season as a coach and I can't wait to hit the pool deck after a long and busy freshman year at UCSC. At Campolindo, I spent my fall, winter, and spring training for Cross Country and Track and Field, but it always feels like I’m coming home when the CCC season comes around. As a swimmer on the team I'm looking forward to improving my own swimming technique and times alongside all of our younger swimmers. My favorite part of being a coach is the ability to pass on my own love of swimming to others and watch, as the season progresses, how much stronger and more confident we become as individuals and as a team. Wishing everyone a fabulous, fun filled summer!

Derek Ludwig, Assistant Coach
Derek began swimming at the age of 3 and is continuing his love for the sport as a Freshman at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. This season he broke two school records and hopes to continue swimming fast with his wonderful teammates. He swam for CCC from the age of nine to fifteen, holds the 11/12 50 fly record, and has coached since he was 13. He attended Campolindo High School and swam on the varsity swim team, earning coaches awards, most improved, and academic honors. He is currently an undecided major but has interests in subjects including Mathematics, Computer Science, and Psychology. Derek is excited to return to CCC for another amazing year with the team and his favorite stroke is butterfly!

Kiera Crandall, Assistant Coach
Kiera has been swimming for CCC since she was 5 years old. She began coaching when she was 15 as a coach in training. She received the Coach's Award the past two years from the Campolindo High School Swim Team. She can't wait to return for another fun season with the marlins!

Coaches in Training

Rennick Coates, CIT 1
I have been swimming at CCC since I was 5 days old!  I was born in June, and my brother and sister were both swimming at CCC at the time, so I spent my first couple of months at the pool every day.   From the age of 1-3, we lived in the Netherlands and I swam (played) weekly in the indoor swimming pool around the corner from our house.  I started in the mini marlin program and swam in my first OMPA at the age of 4.  My favorite thing about swimming at CCC is the community, my friends, and the snack bar.  My favorite events are the IM and breaststroke. I will be a freshman at Campolindo next year. In my free time, I like to play video games with my friends, play tennis and go to ParCour with my friend.

Shannon Crosby, CIT 2
I've been swimming since I was 8, in 2011 and I've always loved hanging out with the coaches and younger kids and helping. I do already know most of the 6&Unders, even if they don't know me, they can get to know me this summer! I'm a freshman right now, going into my sophomore year this summer. I was also in this year's musical at Campo.
