2018 Coaching Staff
Tatiana Gessling, Head Coach
Tatiana began swimming at age 3 at CCC and swam there through her 18th year. Her favorite stroke is backstroke, and she still holds a few individual and relay records at CCC. In 2008 at 13, she began as a coach in training and worked up to become a Senior Coach at 19. The past 2 years she worked as the Assistant Head Coach at MVP where she worked predominately with the 8 & Unders. She attended Campolindo High School, where she was a member of the varsity swim and golf teams. She won the Campolindo High School Swim Team Coaches Award her junior and senior years. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2016 with a degree in Sport Management. Currently, she has moved back home to the Campolindo neighborhood and is interning at the Cal Athletic Department. After summer, she plans to pursue a Masters in Elementary Education at St. Mary's. She is extremely excited to be the Head Coach of CCC as it has always been a dream of hers and she can't wait to have an awesome summer!
Christina Larson Mini Marlins Coach
Jio Chang, Senior Assistant Coach
Jio joined CCC at 6 years old and swam there for 10 years. She still holds a pool record in the 100m free. She joined the coaching staff at 13. She attended and graduated Campolindo High School with honors, where she was a varsity swimmer. She swam for Orinda Aquatics for 2 years and was a recipient of the Coaches' Award. She has just finished her freshman year at Colorado College, where she completed a study abroad at Shanghai University, broke 2 records on the varsity team, and placed second in all three of her individual events at her conference meet. She is so excited for another amazing summer as a Marlin!
Jenna Schafer, Senior Assistant Coach
Jenna is 19 years old and graduated from Campolindo High School in 2016 after 4 years on the varsity swim team. She swam on this team every summer since 2002, and has been coaching on the team since about 2012. She is studying Biology at the University of Oregon, and her favorite stroke is the Breaststroke.
Clare Ahearn, Assistant Coach
Clare joined CCC when she was 5 years old and has been a part of the team ever since. She just finished her senior year of high school and final season of track and field at Campolindo. At age 18, this will be her last year competing as a swimmer for CCC after 12 seasons. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke. She joined the staff at age 13 as a coach in training and has loved working with swimmers of all ages over the years, as well as getting to know the team on a deeper level. She is looking forward to another exciting season at CCC and can’t wait to make some more memories before heading off to college next year.
Derek Ludwig, Assistant Coach
Derek began swimming at the age of 3 and is continuing his love for the sport as a Freshman at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. This season he broke two school records and hopes to continue swimming fast with his wonderful teammates. He swam for CCC from the age of nine to fifteen, holds the 11/12 50 fly record, and has coached since he was 13. He attended Campolindo High School and swam on the varsity swim team, earning coaches awards, most improved, and academic honors. He is currently an undecided major but has interests in subjects including Mathematics, Computer Science, and Psychology. Derek is excited to return to CCC for another amazing year with the team and his favorite stroke is butterfly!
Kiera Crandall, Mini Marlin Main Coach/Assistant 8 & Under Coach
Hi, my name is Kiera Crandall! I have been swimming on Campolindo Cabana Club since I was 5 and coaching since I was 15. I also swim for Campolindo High School swim team and have been since freshman year. I'm really looking forward to yet another fun and exciting season with the marlins!
Juliet Arnswald, Mini Marlins Coach
Hi I'm Coach Juliet and I am super excited to be back at CCC for another great summer of spirit and swimming! I am a junior at Campolindo High School and I do cross-country, soccer and track & field during the fall, winter and spring seasons. After a summer without coaching I realized I missed it so much and I can't wait to return to the pool. I am really looking forward to making many great memories with my CCC family this summer. See you on the pool deck!
Sydney Bagley, Junior Assistant Coach
Sydney has been swimming at CCC for 3 years and previously swam at other Moraga pools. She joined the coaching staff last year as a CIT. She loves backstroke and freestyle and is currently part of the Campolindo Swim Team. She is a sophomore at Campolindo High School. When she is not swimming she spends her time singing in the Campolindo Choirs, babysitting, and volunteering with National Charity League and Global Student Embassy. She is looking forward to spending another fun filled summer with the CCC swim team. Go Marlins!!!
Annie Hillhouse, Junior Assistant Coach
My name is Annie Hillhouse. I am very excited to be back for a third of coaching at CCC! This fall, I will be a junior at Campolindo High School. I have been for swimming rec for 11 years, and with CCC for the past 4 years. Since freshman year, I have competed in Campolindo swim, and since last fall, I have competed in year round swim with Orinda Aquatics. In my free time, I enjoy working with charities through National Charity League, hiking, and hanging out with my family and friends.
Nathan Links, Junior Assistant Coach
My name is Nathan Links and I can't wait to start my first year as an official coach at Campolindo Cabana Club. I am 15 years old and Sophomore at Campolindo High School. I have been swimming at CCC for two years and was a coach in training last summer. My favorite strokes are breaststroke and freestyle. I can't wait for the season to start and am looking forward to a great summer!
Emmet Morgridge, Junior Assistant Coach
My name is Emmet Morgridge and this will be my third year as a coach at Campolindo Cabana Club, and this year will be my 7th year swimming at CCC. My favorite strokes are butterfly and freestyle. I am 16 years old and a sophomore at Campolindo High School. I cannot wait to coach this season and meet new kids in the process. I am excited to see what this season holds!
Jack Prizeman, Junior Assistant Coach
My name is Jack and I am a sophomore at Campo. I have been swimming for CCC for nearly 4 years and my favorite stroke is freestyle. I have been swimming for Campo swim team since I was a freshman but have always enjoyed coming back to CCC during the summer. Last year I was a coach in training so now I am looking forward to coming back to CCC not just as a swimmer but as a coach as well
