Chris Brookover, Head Swim Coach
Chris is entering his fifth year as the Head Coach of the Old Orchard Otters Swim Team. Chris brings over 30 years of swimming knowledge to Old Orchard and has a strong background in coaching swimmers at all levels. Chris’s focus on fundamentals and stroke mechanics helped the Otters improve and was a driving force behind Old Orchard’s top 3 finishes in each of the 2014-2017 Cherry Bowl Championships, the 2017 “B” Division Championship, and the Otter’s 4th place finish the 2017 Tri-County Championships.

Chris and Maria are proud parents of an OO Otter, and two Otter Alumni, including Assistant Coach Duncan Brookover.
Sarah Morris, Assistant Swim Coach
Sarah is a former Otter and a natural leader. Her love of science and swimming have a harmonious relationship – her need to understand the cause and effect evident every day. She loves the numbers of swimming and analyzing upcoming meets (she and her dad compete to see who can get closest to the actual score). While she coaches, she knows that every action has a reaction and one’s stroke can be broken down into fundamental parts. Sarah brings a love of swimming, a commitment to excellence, and team spirit to the Otters. These attributes, in addition to Sarah’s work ethic, earned her the prestigious Sean Killion Award for team leadership at Old Orchard and aided in the Otters’ successful 2017 season as B Division Champs.
Sarah continues to add to her coaching experience. She has been an Assistant Coach at Jersey Wahoos, where she focused on the developing swimmer. Sarah just finished her third year as co-head coach of Senior II and assistant coach of Age Group at the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties in Mount Laurel. In addition to coaching, Sarah is coordinator of the Little Otters Program. Sarah is a 2016 graduate of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, Camden, earning a degree with honors in Biology. In Sarah’s senior year, she completed her second term as chapter president of her award-winning sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon. She will be continuing her education this fall at The George Washington University in D.C. to obtain her degree as a Doctor in Physical Therapy (DPT). She is also the sister/cousin of two current Otters and four otter alumni.
Duncan Brookover, Assistant Swim Coach
Duncan Brookover joined the Otter Coaching Staff after an impressive career as an Old Orchard Otter and an integral member of the 2015 Cherry Hill East Boys New Jersey State Champion Swim Team. Duncan is a rising Junior at Southern Methodist University, where he is continuing his swimming career for the Mustangs.
Duncan’s impressive swimming career includes numerous Old Orchard Swim Team Records, but what he is most remembered for is his commitment to the team and selfless acts for the betterment of the team. Duncan is a natural leader and he continues to inspire the Old Orchard Otters with his passion for swimming and attention to every detail of a swimmer’s progression. These qualities earned him the Sean Killion Award for Old Orchard Team Leadership in his senior Otter Season.
Michael Langmuir, Assistant Swim Coach
Michael is a former Old Orchard Otter, and a four-year varsity swimmer for the Cherry Hill East Boy’s Swim Team. Michael looked forward to summer swim each year because of the close friendships the swimmers and their families have with each other.
In his senior year, Michael was recognized for his team leadership role, sharing the honor of receiving the Sean Killion Award with Alex Monari and Kayla Gagnon. In is his work as a life guard and learn-to-swim instructor at OOSC, Michael realized how important helping other people is to him. He is looking forward to working with Old Orchard swimmers to help them to improve their technique by understanding swim stroke mechanics. He is currently attending La Salle University where he is studying to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
