Head Coach Kyle Brown

Hello MFST!   I am very excited for this Summer Season! Just a little bit about myself, I began coaching at the age of 13, right here at MFST with the pre-team. As a teenager, I competed for the Manchester Farms Dolphins in the MCSL, as well as, Joe Flaherty’s Dolphins during the winter seasons. I joined the JFD coaching staff in the summer of 2005, starting in the lessons. While at JFD, I became a certified site supervisor, an ASCA level II certified coach, as well as, a certified USA Swimming Coach. I also hold other certifications such as CPR/AED, American Red Cross Lifeguardingg and First Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches.

I graduated from the University of Maryland in 2013, with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. During my time at UMD, I began working for many MCSL teams as an Assistant Coach and an Assistant Head Coach. I am now a full-time Career Coach with JFD. I am very excited to begin my first year as Head Coach for the Manchester Farms Dolphins, alongside my wife Kristyne, and my two younger brothers Keith and Kole. We hope to make this a fun and exciting summer, while still focusing on teaching the children the proper foundations of swimming through proper technique.

Head Coach Kristyne Brown

Hello Manchester Farms Dolphins!

My name is Kristyne Brown and this will be my first summer as the Assistant Head Coach for MFST! I am so excited to meet everyone and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I started coaching for Joe Flaherty’s Dolphins (JFD) when I was 15 years old. Over the past 10 years, I have grown within the company and in the swimming world. I am currently a USA swimming certified coach, as well as, lifeguard and CPR certified. Additionally, I was the Head Coach for Whetstone Whales for the past 2 summers and the Assistant Coach for Clarksburg Village Dolphins for 4 summers before that. I come from a family where swimming plays a significant role in our everyday lives. My mother, siblings, and husband, Kyle Brown, are all swim coaches for JFD and MCSL swim teams. My passion for coaching has been driven by these influential people in my life and I hope to continue my coaching experiences for many years to come. ng a part of a team.

I graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus in mathematics. I am currently in my third year as a 2nd grade teacher with Montgomery County Public Schools. I am also in the progress of completing my Master’s Degree in mathematics education at Hood College.

I am very lucky to be working with MFST this summer. I am excited to get to know all of the swimmers and families. I cannot wait to see what is in store! GO DOLPHINS!

Assistant Head Coach Keith Brown

Hello Dolphins!

My name is Keith Brown. I am 20 years old and swam in MCSL for Manchester Farm for many years. I started coaching for Joe Flaherty's Dolphins (JFD) four years ago. Throughout those four years, I found my love for coaching and grew as a coach. I have also been an Assistant Coach for the Whetstone Whales for the past 2 years. I have three brothers. Two of them are coaching for Manchester Farm (Kole and Kyle). I am currently going to Montgomery College for a degree in Economics, and am planning to transfer to the University of Maryland, College Park in the fall. I'm sure we're going to have lots of fun, and I can't wait to see you all on deck!

Assistant Coach Kole Brown

Hello MFST!

My involvement in MCSL swimming started when I was 5 years old, swimming with the pre-team. After the summer, I started to swim year-round with the club team Joe Flaherty Dolphins for many seasons. I have been coaching now for 4 years with Joe Flaherty Dolphins, ranging from bubble blowers all the way up to team swimmers. I was an Assistant Coach for the last two summers and I am looking forward to the opportunity to do it again.  For this summer, I am looking forward to lots of fun with the swimmers as well as help their swim technique develop.

I am a senior at Northwest High School. Manchester Farm has always been a big part of my life, and I have been on it since I was five. I have also been a varsity swimmer on Northwest Swim & Dive for the past three years and swim year round on Nation’s Capital Swim Club (NCAP). I have coached for Manchester Farm as a volunteer for the past 6 years and a pre-team coach last year. I look forward to getting to know all of the young swimmers on the team.

Assistant Coach Nicolas Concepcion

Hello fellow Dolphins!

I have been a proud member of the Manchester Farm Swim Team as long as I can remember. In addition to swimming with MFST, I have also swam for Joe Flaherty's Dolphins year round for nearly nine years, and I have been on the varsity swim and dive team for Northwest High School for two years. Since middle school, I have been a pre-team coach, and as of last year, I have been a coach for JFD for in both lessons and in the lanes. I hope I will have fun coaching our swimmers this summer, and I look forward to a great summer season!
