We are opening registration up early this year for a couple of reasons. First, it’s a whole lot easier to plan the season out if we know how many swimmers to expect. Second, we can make sure our shirts and caps are ordered in time (not to mention team suits) for delivery during the first week of the season, rather than rushing around at the last minute. And finally, we know you are just as excited as we are for the upcoming season and you can’t wait to sign up.
Now, the two biggest questions.
What do I do? Once again, we’re streamlining everything and processing all of our registrations through the team website. Click the link above to register.
What’s this gonna cost me? We continue to be among the least expensive teams in the league thanks in large part to your continued support with fundraisers and other contributions to the team. That said, our registration fees are as follows: $160 for the first swimmer, $150 for the second, and $130 for each swimmer thereafter. This fee includes a shirt and team cap as well as covering costs for coaching, life guards, insurance, league fees, and other related costs.

Members of the BWaves competitive swim team are expected to understand water safety concepts, swim independently during daily practices (45 minutes to an hour long), and participate at team events, including the swim meets. The season will consist of a practice meet (Time Trials), six dual meets, and a final tri-meet (Divisionals).
BWaves must be able to:
demonstrate confidence, comfort, and an understanding of water safety
swim unassisted for 25 meters on their stomach
swim unassisted for 25 meters on their back
All swimmers new to the team MUST be evaluated in order to join the team!
If your swimmer is new to swimming, you must schedule a time for a swim evaluation. Currently, we anticipate hosting evaluations from 6:30-7:00pm each day during the first week of scheduled practices (May 28- 31) at the Bridlewood pool. There will also be an evaluation time available at Central Park Aquatics Center in Manassas during one of our Off-Season Swim sessions (Date: May 19). Your swimmer cannot practice with the team until after they have been evaluated. (Please schedule your evaluation by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org).
However, if your swimmer has legal times in all four strokes from USA Swimming and/or PWSL (or another swim team), they CAN and SHOULD practice with the team from day one. Their evaluation will take place during their normal practice time during the first week of practice. (Please provide a screenshot, link, or other evidence to email@example.com ).
