The Stingrays belong to the River City (RCSL) or "Recreational Summer" league. The league is composed of fifteen teams this year from throughout Northeast Florida. The RCSL philosophy is:
"The River City Swim League was developed to provide the children of League Clubs with a social and competitive summer swimming program.
The mission of the League is:
A. to afford youth an opportunity to develop water safety and individual swimming skills;
B. to provide participants the opportunity to improve physical fitness and learn social skills while instilling the values of sportsmanship and team commitment that will aid in their future endeavors;
C. to develop interest and participation in amateur swimming in a safe and fun environment and
D. To promote excellence in coaching and conditioning for all swimmers.
“As a result, it is hoped that participants will acquire many of the necessary tools for a lifelong conditioning program to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
“To these ends, the League will administer the dual/tri-meet schedule and the River City Swim League Championship Meet(s), as well as provide a scholarship program to help our most deserving participants carry skills learned in this league on into college.”
