Swimmer Band Testing

Swim Bands

  • Any swimmers twelve and under must take a band test in order to use the slide, the low dive, or the high dive.
  • Guests that are twelve and under must take a band test in order to use our slide, low dive, or high dive.
  • To take a band test, the swimmer must ask a lifeguard at the front desk.
  • A parent or guardian must fill out a consent form before the swimmer takes the band test.
  • The swimmer must meet all of the requirements listed under their specific band test to receive a red, yellow, or blue band.

THE RED BAND TEST

This test permits the swimmer to use the slide.

Requirements to get the red band:

  • swimmer must swim one lap of freestyle without stopping.
  • swimmer must tread water for 60 seconds without stopping.
  • swimmer must be at least 42 inches in height.

THE YELLOW BAND TEST

This test permits the swimmer to use the slide and the low dive.

Requirements to get the yellow band:

  • swimmer must swim two laps of freestyle without stopping.
  • swimmer must tread water for 60 seconds without stopping.
  • swimmer must jump off of the low dive and swim to the ladder.
  • swimmer must be at least 42 inches in height.

THE BLUE BAND TEST

This test permits the swimmer to use the slide, the low dive, and the high dive.

Requirements to get the blue band:

  • swimmer must swim two laps of freestyle without stopping.
  • swimmer must tread water for 60 seconds without stopping.
  • swimmer must dive off of the low dive and swim to the ladder.
  • swimmer must be at least 48 inches in height.

***SWIMMER MUST BE AT LEAST 8 YEARS OF AGE TO GET THE BLUE BAND, NO EXCEPTIONS***
