2019 Swim Team Coaching Staff

Reva Zacharias | Head Coach | EMAIL

Reva started swimming as a speedy sixer at GSSC when she was five years old, qualifying for her first All City met as an 8 & under and every year since.  Realizing her passion for swimming at a young age she began swimming for White Water Aquatics.  She became very involved in swimming and continued swimming club throughout her teen years qualifying for several international meets and setting many team records for both Gregory Seahurst and White Water.  Reva also swam for her high school team, the Highline Pirates, and qualified for state placing top 8 in each event she swam. Reva loves to share her passion and knowledge for swimming with others and has always been inspired through the life lessons that swimming has taught her and the many wonderful coaches she's had throughout her swim career who helped guide and encourage her.  Summer league has always taught her what swim is really about - hard work, dedication and building life long friendships with people along the way.  She hopes to pass this mindset on to all of GSSC as well as make each and every swimmer's experience  on GSSC fun and meaningful.

Emily Zacharias | Assistant Coach | EMAIL

Emily started her swim career at Gregory Seahurst as a speedy sixer and has been involved at the club ever since. With her older sister Reva as her role model, she fell in love with the water and decided to start club swimming at the age of 6. Through the sport of swimming, she has learned many valuable and applicable life lessons and made many friendships she holds close to this day. Swimming has taken her many places and provided many experiences, all which have kindled her love for the sport. Coaching at GSSC is a way for her to give back to the swim community and foster growth, camaraderie, dedication, skill, and fun memories into the lives of GSSC swimmers - things that were instilled in her over the years. She hopes that each swimmer at GSSC enjoys their time in and out of the water, making memories they will cherish forever!

Liam McNett | Assistant Coach | EMAIL

Liam McNett is excited to be returning to Gregory Seahurst as an Assistant Coach this year. He has been swimming since he was five with the Gators as well as swimming club with Whitewater Aquatics and on his high school team. Liam sees summer sports, specifically swim, as a way to grow and to create meaningful friendships—GSSC has been a large positive aspect in his life and he has every desire to instill that same sense in the swimmers he will encounter. Team spirit, camaraderie, and having fun are the hallmarks of summer swim, and this year will be no exception! Liam is a senior at Seattle Preparatory School where he has been involved with swim team, Mock Trial, social justice initiatives, and retreat leadership. Next fall, Liam will attend Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine where he plans to major in Government and Legal Studies with a concentration in International Relations. He looks forward to coaching alongside Reva and Emily, spending time with returning and new swimmers, and a successful season. Go Gators!
