Hi, I’m Nina Zacharias and I will be coaching the Gregory Seahurst Dive Team this year. Summer Sports here at Gregory Seahurst are a great way for kids to spend time with friends, be part of a team, and build memories that will last a lifetime! I feel fortunate to be a part of that. Diving practice was never a chore for me when I was young because I had so much fun doing it. Diving is a fun sport to do and a fun sport to watch. I hope that by sharing my love for diving, kids will find that they love it too! Come to one of our meets and cheer on your Gator Divers!
Lucas Smith | Assistant Dive Coach | Email
Lucas Smith participated on the swim, dive and tennis team at GSSC and has great memories of his summers with the teams. He is also a lifeguard. Lucas just finished his first year at WSU [Go Cougs!] where he is a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and plays intramural football. Lucas began diving his sophomore year in high school and competed at state that same year. In 2019, Lucas was the only male in 3A state to compete in both the swim and dive finals. Lucas is excited to bring his skills and enthusiasm for dive to the team and is looking for a record number of kids to begin the sport because he knows you are never too old to try.
Kira Courter | Assistant Dive Coach
Hi, my name is Kira Courter. I’m currently a sophomore at Mt Rainier High School. I have been diving for Gregory Seahurst since I was 6 years old. I have enjoyed spending my summers diving at the pool. Last year I was on the dive team, and I taught diving lessons. I am excited to take that on again along with the opportunity to be an assistant coach for the dive team! I look forward to teaching kids all that I have learned over the years and share my love for diving!
