Friday Nights Adult Tennis

Join us every Friday evening from 6:00-8:00pm for adult play on the lower courts for fun times and socializing afterwards. Come enjoy and play with other doubles teams for a fun night of tennis and then socializing after at 8:00 pm on the club deck.

 

Women's Play & Instruct

Coach Mark will coach this Play & Instruct for Women on Tuesdays & Thursdays (2 sessions scheduled). Come and play tennis & meet with old and new friends at AH!

Levels range from Beginner/intermediate (2.0) to Advanced (4.0). See below for skill level descriptions.

Session 1: Tuesdays & Thursdays, May 29, 31, June 5, 7, from 6:00-7:30pm

Session 2: Tuesdays & Thursdays, June 12, 14, 19, 21, from 6:00-7:30pm

Men's Play & Instruct

Coach Mark will coach this Play & Instruct for Men on Wednesdays (1 session scheduled so far). More sessions may be added based on demand.

Adult Tennis Camp (2.5-4.0) - July 6, 7, 8

Come learn from AHSTC Head Tennis Pro Mark Frisby. The camp will be taught by one of the best in the area. Sign up and play with your fellow tennis player members.  You can also bring a non-member friend. It's meant to work around your work and weekend schedule.

Skill Levels

Beginner: (USTA/Club Rating 2.0-2.5) is for the player who has had some experience and is capable of sustaining a short rally. Stroke technique, court coverage and strategy will be covered through drills and games.


Intermediate: (USTA/Club Rating 2.5-3.0) is for the player who is comfortable sustaining a rally at a slower pace and has some directional control. Emphasis will be placed on increasing power and control through technique, drills and games. Strategy for competing at the 3.0 level will be covered.


Advanced: (USTA/Club Rating 3.0 and above) is for the player who has several years of experience, and has the ability to hit the ball with power and direction but may lack some consistency. Advanced techniques and strategies will be covered.
