Arbor Heights Swim and Tennis Club, a Seattle Summer League swim team, based in West Seattle, is looking for part time coaches. We are looking for a coach who will be open to collaborating with other coaches and peers, writing meet lineups, and focusing on youth development of the spirit, mind and body.

Arbor Heights is committed to heavy emphasis on team spirit, the association of swimming with fun and flexibility along with hard work and dedication. Assistant Coaches, working with the Head Coach, will be responsible to 1) coach and supervise swim groups as assigned; 2) provide day-to-day and long term direction of assigned groups; 3) provide regular communication to swimmers and parents; 4) garner and grow team spirit; and 5) prepare meet entries and attend meets as assigned.

The hours of this job can be sporadic depending on team events or meet lineups. Coaches will work on lineups as a group. The normal, unchanging hours will be Monday – Friday from 3:30 -6:00 PM while public schools are still in session and Monday – Friday 7AM – 11:30 AM during the peak season hours after public schools are out of session until the first week in August. You will also attend 3-4 Saturday morning clinics (1 per month), 2 swim meets a week on Tuesday and Thursday nights, all championship meets, team events, and parent meetings as needed.
