Youth Swim Conditioning

Youth Swim Conditioning (ages 5-18)

Spring & Summer 2021

Due to physical distancing requirements, we are not able to offer a swim team in the traditional format. However, we are excited to offer Youth Swim Conditioning. These sessions are meant to keep our swimmers in shape and offer them a chance to improve their stroke technique in small groups. Swim Conditioning is for swimmers who are able to swim 25 yards unassisted and follow directions from the coaches. If your child can not swim 25 yards unassisted, please sign them up for swim lessons.

We will be offering two-week sessions. Each session will meet 3 times a week for two consecutive weeks during the spring. During the summer, sessions will meet 5 days a week.  To meet physical distancing guidelines, we will limit the enrollment to twelve swimmers at each level. 

 


Swim Levels: 

Youth Swim Conditioning levels follow our swim team levels, not the swim lesson levels. You can find the swim team levels HERE.

All swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted in order to enroll.

Spring Schedule:

Four two-week sessions are offered for the 2021 spring season:

  Registration Opens
Session 1: April 19 - 30 April 3, 8 am (see below for restrictions)
Session 2: May 3 - 14 April 3, 8 am (see below for restrictions)
Session 3: May 17 - 28 April 3, 8 am (see below for restrictions)
Session 4: June 1-11 (No practice May 31) April 3, 8 am (see below for restrictions)

 

The schedule for Sessions 1-4 is as follows:

Summer Schedule:

Four two-week sessions are offered for the 2021 summer season:

Session 5: June 14 - 25 May 15, 8 am (see below for restrictions)
Session 6: June 28 - July 9 May 15, 8 am (see below for restrictions)
Session 7: July 12 - 23 June 12, 8 am (see below for restrictions)
Session 8: July 26 - August 6 June 12, 8 am (see below for restrictions)

 

The schedule for Sessions 5-8 is as follows:

Minnows Monday - Friday 10:45-11:30 am
Porpoises Monday - Friday 10:00-10:45 am
Dolphins Monday - Friday 8:00-9:00 am
Sharks Monday - Friday 9:00-10:00 am

REGISTRATION:

In order to give the greatest number of families access to swim conditioning, we will be limiting registration to 1 session per swimmer between May 15-16. Starting May 17, you may sign up for any additional sessions.

PRICING:

The two-week session provides six practices. There will be twelve swimmers in each group.

Spring Price: $60/2-week session (Session 1-3)

                      $50/2-week session (Session 4)

Summer Price: $90/2-week session (Sessions 5-8)

Payment MUST be received at the time of online registration.

Refunds will be given up to the day before each session begins. 

**Swimmers must be able to swim across the pool (25 yards) independently and follow directions from the coaches. If your swimmer is not able to swim across the pool on the first day of the session, their spot and the registration fees paid will be forfeit.**


Equipment

All swimmers should have the following:

  • A snugly fitting suit
  • Goggles
  • Towel

​In addition, swimmers with hair long enough to get in their eyes should wear a swim cap.

The coaches request that all swimmers get rubber swim fins similar to the following:
