Wexford Leas Swim Club Pool Rules 2020
**If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 and have recently visited the pool, notify management immediately**
We realize there are many differing views on the matter of social distancing. This is new for all of us, WLSC staff and its Members, so we appreciate your patience while we all adjust. Your assistance in following these guidelines is critical to ensuring we can keep the pool running safely. We’ll continue monitoring and let you know as rules are adjusted.
The entrance to the club is located at the front of the club closest to Rooftree Rd. The exit is located at the shallow end of the pool through the fence gate to the parking lot (where the lane lines used to be).
Check in procedures:
There is a no-contact sign-in process. Gate guards will check in Members/Guests. You will be required to sign in and out by giving your family’s last name and the number of members or guests in your party to the guard at both the entrance desk and exit desk. The time of your entrance/exit will also be noted for the purpose of contract tracing.
If there is a line to enter the pool, please ensure your party remains a 6 ft. physical distance from other parties while in line. Members/Guests are required to wear a mask upon entry/exit of the club.
Only members who are paid in full for the year and have signed the club’s Waiver will be permitted into the club. No exceptions.
The Club’s Waiver must be signed and returned the first time you attend the club. If you did not register online, you will be required to sign the Club’s Waiver upon your first time entering the club for the season. Guests under the age of 18 must have the Waiver signed by their parent or guardian. To download a Waiver, go to the website: www.WexfordLeasSwimClub.org. The Waiver must be brought with them to the club in order to gain entry.
A person may come as a Member’s guest up to 3 times per season. No more than 6 guests are permitted per visit. Guest limitations are subject to change.
There is a maximum of 100 attendees at the club at one time. Members/Guests come on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The club is open 6 days a week. The club will be closed Mondays; open Sunday, Tuesday-Thursday, 11am-8pm (baby pool)/ 12pm-8pm (main pool); Friday-Saturday 11am-9pm (baby pool)/ 12pm-9pm (main pool). Hours are subject to change.
Hand sanitizer will be placed at every table and refilled as needed. Wipes, paper towels and disinfectant spray will also be available throughout the club. Tables, chairs, handrails, and restrooms will be sanitized on a regular basis (at least every two hours); however, the Club cannot guarantee COVID-19 will not be present. We strongly recommend you bring your own wipes for your personal seating areas/tables.
We ask that you clean your tables and chairs before you leave in consideration of the next family. Club staff will also be monitoring tables and wiping them down with disinfectant.
The pool furniture has been placed to meet social distancing requirements. Do not move the furniture. If you need more chairs at your table, please see the Manager on Duty. Please choose an area appropriate for your party size to be respectful and accommodating of others using the Club.
Outside chairs may be brought to the Club. When placing your own chairs, please be mindful to maintain 6 ft. social distancing from other members.
No floats, rafts, throwable toys/balls are permitted.
Members are permitted to bring their own toys from home to the pool. Please do not share toys with other families and be responsible in caring for them.
Social distancing applies at the pool:
Please be mindful and respectful of keeping 6 ft. spacing from other parties while in the pool and around the pool deck. You are responsible for monitoring your children under 18 and to ensure they are following social distancing rules. If you have a concern about another person’s social distancing behavior at the pool, we ask that you handle your request respectfully. If you have a concern, see the Manager on Duty.
Please monitor your path around the pool deck; do not weave through tables. Discourage children from weaving through tables and running.
It is not the lifeguards’ responsibility to police social distancing.
If you have a concern, see the Manager on Duty. Please do not talk to the lifeguards while they are in the chair monitoring the pool.
Some features will be unavailable:
No basketball games are permitted in the pool or on the basketball court. The sandbox near the baby pool is closed. The Big House is closed to Members and Guests. We will not be hosting events at the pool until further notice. The diving board is closed until further notice.
