Hi! My name is Konrad Plomedahl, and I am very excited and honored to be coaching for the Piranhas this season! Here is a little summary about me and my swimming career:
I have been swimming competitively since 5th grade. I started swimming for the Sun Prairie Piranhas when I moved here in 7th grade. I swam a total of six years with the Piranhas. I also swam four years for the Sun Prairie High School Swim and Dive team. My junior and senior year I was captain of the High School team, and in my senior year I qualified for state in four events (200 medley relay, 200 free relay and 400 free relay, and 100 fly). For my college career, I swam three years as a member of the UWEC Swim and Dive team. I was on the Conference team each year, competing in the 50 free, 100 free, 100 fly, and 200 fly. I was team captain in my last season.
This will be my 6th season as a coach for the Sun Prairie Piranhas. My other coaching experiences include three seasons with the Sun Prairie Storm, two seasons assisting the Eau Claire Marlins, and I have been the Head Coach for the Sun Prairie Mini Piranhas program. This last year I was a volunteer coach for the Sun Prairie High School Girls Swim and Dive Team, and I was the JV Head Coach for the Sun Prairie Boys Swim Team.
I am very proud of my accomplishments as a swimmer, and I am even more proud of, and thankful for, the teams I had the privilege being a contributor of. I hope that I can help all swimmers this season gain the same sense of pride in swimming as I have.
I am very excited to get to know all of you this season! Go Piranhas!!
Assistant and Lead Coach
Jamie McMillin has been with the Sun Prairie Piranhas for the past 10 years and will begin her 11th year coaching this season.
Jamie has been involved in swimming for many years. She swam for DeForest and Madison Aquatic Clubs as an Age Group Swimmer, and then continued her swimming career at DeForest High School. Once she was in College, she swam for University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for 4 years where she specialized in the 400IM, 200 Back, and 200 Breaststrokes. She also finished her Bachelors in Sociology during her time in Stevens Point.
After attending UWSP, she worked at the University of Wyoming as the Men's and Women's Head Assistant for 2 years in Laramie, Wyoming. After coaching the Cowboys and Cowgirls she got the itch to become an educator, and came back to Wisconsin to attend the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where she earned her Masters in Special Education and coached the Titan's for 2 years as their Assistant Swim Coach.
Finally, she landed in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, where she has been teaching at Patrick Marsh Middle School for the past 17 years as a Special Education Teacher. She also is in her 4th year of coaching Sun Prairie Storm.
When Jamie has free time, she loves to spend time with her dogs. She also likes to travel to Europe each summer. Jamie is excited to start another fun season with the Piranhas!
Assistant and Lead Coach
My name is Josephine (Josie) Nettum and I am just finishing my sophomore year at UW- Whitewater. This past semester I studied abroad in Scotland. I joined the Piranha Family when I was nine years old, in addition to swimming for eight years. I also swam on DFAC for three years and Storm for four years. In high school, I swam for the high school team all four years and I participated in JV and Varsity Conference. I lettered three times. As a senior, I ended the season by placing fifth overall in the 100 backstroke at JV Conference, and I swam at Varsity Conference.
I started coaching in the summer of 2016. I was a coach for Mini Piranhas, I lead the 9-10 age group. Then in November I started coaching Storm. During the winter session I coached Tropical Storm, and in the spring session I coached Tropical Storm and Thunderstorm.
Three summers ago I became a Piranha Coach. I have been the co-lead 8 and Under coach for two years and this year I will be the 11-12 lead coach. In addition to coaching, I also taught swim lessons to kids aged 2 to 15. For the past four summers, I really enjoyed coaching and getting to know the swimmers! I can’t wait to return to the pool, and I hope to make a positive difference in the swimmers lives the way my swim coaches did in mine!
I’m so happy for the opportunity to have my 11th year as part of the Piranha Family!
Assistant and Lead Coach
Hi, my name is Clarise Nettum. I just completed my sophomore year of college at UW La Crosse. I joined the Piranha swim team when I was 9 years old and have been part of the Piranha family ever since. In addition to swimming for the Piranhas, I also swam on DFAC for three years, Sun Prairie Storm for four years, and the Sun Prairie High School swim team for all four years. In high school I lettered three times. I swam in both JV and Varsity Conferences. As a senior I ended the season with a PR in the 100 breaststroke at Varsity Conference, reaching my goal time.
I started coaching in the summer of 2016 for the Mini Piranhas, working specifically with the 8 and Unders. The winter of that year I began coaching for Sun Prairie Storm. I worked with Thunder Storm and Tropical Storm for three seasons. 2017 was my first summer coaching the Piranhas. In the fall of 2018 I coached for the YMCA Wave swim team in La Crosse. In addition to coaching, I have also taught swim lessons for the past four years, ages 2 to adults. I really enjoy coaching and helping swimmers improve their skills in the water.
I am so excited to start my eleventh season with the Piranhas! I hope I can make this season as fun and memorable for the swimmers as my past coaches did for me!
Assistant and Lead Coach
My name is Lauren Benzine. I began my swimming career on the Sun Prairie Piranhas swim team when I was 7 years old! Over the past 10 years of my competitive swimming career, I have also swam for DFAC, Waterloo, Storm and the Women's Sun Prairie High School swim teams. I earned my varsity letter in High School Swimming and was a captain my senior year. Some of my favorite events include the 100 Breaststroke, 200 IM and 100 Fly. I have worked as a lifeguard at the Sun Prairie Family Aquatic Center. As apart of my job, I teach swim lessons from all ages; toddlers to adults (which is my favorite part of the job!). I attend Columbia College Chicago with plans in majoring in music business and theatre. I am super excited to meet everyone and to be coaching for the team I was a part of for 8 years!
Hello, my name is Ana Hudson. I am very excited for my first year of coaching for the Sun Prairie Piranhas! I started competitive swimming as a Piranha when I was just a small 8 and under and since then my love for swimming has grown. In addition to Piranhas, I have had experience swimming at a competitive level through DFAC, McFarland Spartan Sharks and all four years varsity for the Sun Prairie Women's High School Swim and Dive Team. One of my favorite recent memories from high school swim was dropping two seconds and making it to the WIAA D1 State Swim Meet this past year in the 100 breaststroke.
I've been an assistant swim coach for Sun Prairie Storm the past two years, working mostly with swimmers ages 4-12. My favorite part in working with these younger athletes has been building relationships, teaching stroke development, and most importantly, showing kids how much fun the sport of swimming is! I am thrilled to be a part of the Piranhas family this summer!
Hi, my name is Andy Paulson and I just finished my freshman year at UW-Madison where I am currently studying biomedical engineering. I joined the Piranhas when I was 6 years old and swam until I was 18. Also, I swam for Storm for 3 years and on the high school swim team for 4 years. I was a captain on the high school team my senior year and was apart of the state team for 3 years. I have been a lifeguard at the Sun Prairie High School Pool for the last two years and taught three sessions of swim lessons last summer as a part of my job. I taught kids as young as 3 years old to the most advanced group. I had a lot of fun teaching kids and improving their swimming skills and look forward to coaching you all this summer. I hope that I can make Piranhas as fun as it was for me and I am very excited to be apart of this team for my 14th year and can’t wait to get started! Go Piranhas!

In high school I earned my varsity letter for swim all four years and was lucky enough to be captain of that wonderful team my senior year. In high school I focused on the 500, and in college I have expanded that into becoming a true distance swimmer and swimming the 500, 1000, and 1650. I am super excited to be coming back to my favorite team as a coach this summer!!!
