Code of Conduct Policy
CARY PARK SEA DRAGON SWIM TEAM SPORTSMANSHIP AND GOOD BEHAVIOR
We expect Excellent Sportsmanship and Excellent Behavior at all times. This applies to both Adults and Children, Swimmers and Fans alike, and to our Own Teammates as well as to Our Competitors. This is very important for the Spirit of Healthy Competition, for our Children's Safety, and for the Enjoyment of All. Plus, it reflects on who we are individually and as a team.
Sportsmanship - fair play, respect for opponents, and polite behavior by someone who is competing in a sport or other competition (Merriam-Webster Online).
Behavior - 1) the manner of conducting oneself; anything an organism does involving action and response to stimulation; the reponse of an individual, group, or species to the environment; 2) the way in which someone behaves; 3) the way in which something functions or operates. (Merriam-Webster Online)
Particular actions by Parents, Families, or Swimmers that will absolutely not be tolerated include, but are not limited to:
* Abuse of or damage to facilities or equipment
* Abuse of or damage to other swimmers' belongings
* Swearing, verbal or physical assaults
* Disrespectful behavior towards Coaches, Swimmers, Officials, or Anyone affiliated with TSA, or Swim Fans
* Presence of alcohol at a Swim Meet
Parents, Families, Swimmers:
Respect all other athletes, coaches, fans, and pool staff. Promote positive team spirit and morale.
VIOLATIONS OF EXCELLENT SPORTSMANSHIP AND EXCELLENT BEHAVIOR
could result in dismissal from practice or swim meets, parental notification, suspension or dismissal from the Sea Dragons Swim Team as determined by the Cary Park Sea Dragon Swim Team Coaches and/or Board of Directors.
We understand this policy, and our family (Parents, Swimmers, Family) agrees to abide by the Cary Park Sea Dragons Code of Conduct.
