MAZOMANIE BARRACUDAS PRACTICE SCHEDULE 2018

 

There is a new structure for our swim practices this summer. 

·         All practices will be open to all ages. 

·         The morning and late evening practices will be 90 minutes long and they will be the same workout.

·         The early evening practices are 60 minutes long and are completely different this year. 

·         Swimmers will be split into lanes based on their time and not by their age. 

 

 

Morning Practices – 7:30am-9:00am - Monday – Friday

·         These practices will include the following: warm-up, drill set, endurance set, speed set and cool-down.

 

 

Early Evening Practices – 5:00-6:00pm Monday – Friday

·         Friday June 8th 2018 – this will be for the “mock” meet.

·         These practices will be dedicated to starts, turns and technique work.

·         These practices will help decrease the number of disqualifications in meets.

·         There will be no “workout”. 

 

 

Late Evening Practices – 8:00-9:30pm Monday – Thursday

·         These practices will include the following: warm-up, drill set, endurance set, speed set and cool-down.

 

Swimmers placed in lanes by times: This allows the swimmers to get a better workout and it also allows our coaches the ability to pull an individual swimmer or a small group of swimmers aside for technique work without stopping all swimmers.

 

Reminder: Swimmers must participate in 3 practices each week in order to swim in the meetHowever, we encourage swimmers to come to as many practices as possible.
