Summer 2018 is going to be another great year for the Mini HOX. The Mini HOX program has thrived under Coach Emma and she is back leading the program. She will be joined by Melissa Kaeo, who is starting her second season with the team. Together they will work with Livvy, Abby and an energetic group of Jr. Coaches to get our Minis swimming their best!
The Mini HOX program was created to expose children to the fun and excitement of participating on a recreational swim team and to prepare them to participate on the HOX swim team next year. This program is ideal for young children who enjoy the water but may find it challenging to swim the full length of a 25 yard competition pool.
Please note that Mini HOX is not a Learn-to-Swim program or a private swim lesson. The program is intended for 3-5 year olds who are water-safe and potty trained (swim diapers are not allowed). If your child does not fulfill the requirements for participation in Mini HOX, one-on-one private swim lessons are available. In an effort to find the best fit for each swimmer, the coaches reserve the right to make adjustments regarding a swimmer's participation in Mini HOX and to refer them to the appropriate program.
Recommended gear - swim suit, swim cap, goggles (TYR "Swimple" goggles are recommended as they fit really well on little faces - see link below for ordering under HOX Apparel).
This program is only for Blackhawk Country Club swim, tennis or golf members.
Mini HOX Summer Program Cost: $250

Observation for group placement:
To ensure HOX swimmers receive the highest quality coaching and practices, each swimmer will be placed into a practice group that best matches to their swimming skills. In many instances, the coaches may already know the specific practice group that a swimmer belongs. However, some swimmers on the team and all new swimmers to the team will need to be observed to determine the best practice group fit. Coach Sean will conduct the observations and swimmers that have not already been placed in a group and all new swimmers should sign up for an observation. If a swimmer elects not to participate in the observation, they will be placed into the first or beginning tier. Swimmers will be moved up as they progress and improve.
As the name suggests the observation will be just that, a chance for the coach to observe the swimmer and to assess the best practice group fit. The observation will not include feedback from the coach.
If you have received a confirmation email asking you to sign up for an observation, please contact Coach Sean to schedule an observation - email@example.com
