Assistant Head Coach - Georgi Cappelletti

Georgi Cappelletti has been with the HOX for 26 years; 14 as a swimmer and this will be her 12th year as a coach. Her accomplishments in the water include breaking multiple records: the HOX 13-14 50 breast team record, in addition to the 15-18 100 free record at County, Woodlands and VSA League Championships, which held for several years. She is still the current HOX team record holder in the 100 free.  Coach Georgi attended Monte Vista High School in Alamo and was a member of both the Varsity Swim Team and the Varsity Water Polo Team. During her senior year of high school, Georgi’s 200 free relay broke the meet record at NCS.  She went on to play Division 1 Water Polo for two years at University of California, Berkeley and graduated in 2011.

She loved growing up on the Blackhawk pool deck because of the fond memories created, life-long friendships formed, and personal goals achieved. It is her desire to create that same experience for every HOX swimmer she coaches. Georgi brings a tremendous level of dedication and spirit to the team and leads the Hike to Hawk during Spirit Week each summer. She loves coaching kids of all ages, but her specialty is leading the 10 and Unders and instilling a foundation for a long-term commitment to swim and love for the team. She completed her teaching credential in December 2013 and has worked at Tassajara Hills Elementary School since 2014.

Assistant Coach - Melissa Keao

Aloha HOX Families! I am excited for my second summer at the HOX pool and first summer as a a full time coach. I am originally from Kaneohe, Hawaii, I started swimming competitively at the age of 5 and continued through high school. I moved to Southern California to attend Whittier College. My favorite swim event was the 100 Breaststroke and 200 Breaststroke. I swam and played water polo throughout college while receiving my BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education. After graduation, I attended California State University, Long Beach and received my Single Subject Credential for Physical Education. From the age of 18 until present, I have held several jobs in the Aquatics field teaching swim lessons and managing swim school facilities. Currently, I teach Physical Education and am the Head Swimming/Diving Coach at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont. I love inspiring kids of all ages and abilities to learn to love and be safe in the water.

Assistant Coach - Samantha Boeger

I am very excited to be a part of the HOX swim community and staff! This will be my first season with the team, beginning with the spring clinic, onto Mini HOX, and into the Summer HOX program. However, I have been a swimmer since the age of 5 and began junior coaching at the age of 13. During highschool, I swam for my first two years, then focused on a different passion of mine-soccer. After high school, I went to California State University, Chico where I was a collegiate athlete. At Chico, I received my bachelors in criminal justice. Shortly after college, I decided to go back to school and get my teaching credential. I am currently a 5th grade teacher in Walnut Creek. Working with kids and helping them learn is a huge passion of mine.

Swimming has remained in my life throughout the years and I was a coach at Little Swimmers in Concord as well as doing private lessons on my own. I am excited to be back with a swim team and relive the experiences that I had as a kid! Some of my fondest childhood memories were at the pool deck. Being with friends, family, and in a competitive atmosphere is what I live for! I can’t wait to make new memories with the HOX swim team and meet each and every one of you! Go HOX!

I am very excited to be returning as part of the HOX Coaching Staff for a second season!  I grew up in Concord, and graduated from Ygnacio Valley High School.  In high school I played waterpolo, basketball, and was a member of the swim team.  I was the first athlete in the history of my high school to receive 12 varsity letters for the sports in which I played, and in 2015 was inducted into the Ygnacio Valley High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Upon graduating high school, I attended Brigham Young University where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education Teaching, Kindergarten through 12th grade and a minor in Spanish.  I returned to Ygnacio Valley High School to teach Physical Education for two years before returning to school to receive my Masters of Arts Degree in Education, with an emphasis in Athletes and Academic Achievement from the University of California, Berkeley.  This is my 13th year teaching in the San Ramon Valley School District.  I taught Physical Education, and was the Assistant Athletic Director at Monte Vista High School two years before coming to teach Elementary PE at Creekside.  I have over fifteen years of swim coaching experience coaching at Ygnacio Wood Swim Team, Valley Vista Swim Team and Roundhill Swim Team.  I love the sport, and hope to help my swimmers have the same passion for it that I do.

I am married to Jason McConnell, and we have an 11-year-old daughter named Mia, and 5-year-old son William who are proud members of the HOX as well.  I am looking forward to a great summer at Blackhawk.  Go HOX!
