OUR NEED:

How does a great club like the Gig Harbor Canoe and Kayak Team stay financially afloat?  A typical racing class K-1 sets the team back at least $4,500 and a racing K-4 is approximately $9,000-$10,000.  A growing community club like this needs numerous boats, paddles, trailers, and equipment for their athletes. Since this club does not have a regular stream of public funding, our club needs to reach out to our families, fans and community for financial support.

OUR SUPPORT:

The bottom line is this team's great coaching, extraordinary young athletes, and strong community support.  Alan Anderson, the coach and founder has a clear vision,  he has drive, and  he definitely knows how to motivate kids.  Every family that is a part of this club supports the club monthly, but we all realize that this source of funds cannot support the rate of growth this club is experiencing.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

The team trains year round in every conceivable condition that the Northwest can throw at us.  Our goal, the dream........is to represent the country in the Olympic Games.  Wouldn't it be exciting for the Gig harbor community to see their very own athletes compete in the highest level of international competition - and win a medal?  It can happen - it is happening.  But it costs money and GHCKRT needs your help to support our athletes and maintain equipment. Please help this wonderful team continue to grow and achieve great things with your financial support. The club is a 501(c) not-for-profit organization and all your donations are tax deductible.  Every dime goes toward supporting these amazing young athletes.
