How to Become an Official

How to Become an Official

Becoming an official is a great way to help out the team, get involved in your swimmer’s experience, ensure an unbeatable on-deck seat for swim meets, and learn more about the sport of swimming. Officials help to ensure fair, safe, and technically correct meets. By being an official for our team, you help our team be able to secure invitations to more meets and help maintain our reputation within our league.

To become an official involves some simple training courses and on-deck training time.

Please feel free to contact Coach Patti at coachpatti@steamboatswimteam.comfor any questions or concerns or more information with regards to scheduling clinics, officiating meets, etc . We would love to have more parents become officials, and we appreciate all the parents willing to put in the time and effort to help our team access more opportunities.
