Learn to Row - LTR (1 Day per week)

The Learn to Row program is an excellent opportunity for young athletes to learn and improve their skills. No experience is necessary - the coaches will teach everything a rower needs to know to start their rowing career. Learn to Row sessions to include use of the new indoor tanks, erging, rowing specific exercises, and time on the water. Parent orientation will be held during the first session. The LTR program is designed for athletes in 6th, 7th, & 8th grade (unless noted).  Athletes will be well prepared to participate in RTX or CYRA depending upon age at the completion of this course. Information for our Fall, Winter and Spring sessions can be found below.

Prerequisite: None

Rower Training Experience - RTX (2 or 3 Days per week)

CYRA's Rower Training Experience (RTX) is a non-competitive program in which athletes have the opportunity to try the sport in a fun and safe environment. The relaxed learning environment develops skills, through land and water-based training, to be used in the competitive program.

RTX is more rigorous than our Learn to Row (LTR) program; athletes will dig deeper to find more boat speed and technical prowess and is a great stepping stone between our LTR program and the Competitive Team.
