CCCAN Championships

The CCCAN Championships is annual championships held since 1960 for countries in Central America and the Caribbean and is organised by the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Confederation (CCCAN).

The format of the CCCAN Championships follows CARIFTA; it is an age-group competition for teams from Caribbean island nations. The age groups include 11-12, 13-14, 15-17 and also 18 & Over.

Previously, this was a competition that only citizens could compete in, however, following consultation with the CCCAN Executive Committee, the 2017 edition of the CCCAN Championships was the first time that citizens and resident swimmers were eligible to compete and this will continue for future years.
