... an optional 4th day of practice for the Competitive & Cranford teams. These practices will put an emphasis on track & field specific fitness and skills to build a more complete athlete, both physically and mentally.

These practices will be on Thursdays and alternate every week between being held at the Main Y in Westfield at 4:00 PM, and Echo Lake Park at 6:00 PM. The first Thursday practice will be on March 28 at the Main Y. This is an 8-week session that will last through May 16. Practices at the Main Y will focus on strength training, core, mobility, drills, foam rolling, and recovery techniques. Practices at Echo Lake Park will focus on speed, endurance, agility, hill training, and mental training. This program will have a low enrollment limit based on the objectives of the practices. The fee for this is $96 for Family/Silver Members or $120 for Basic/Program Members.  If you are interested, you can stop by the Main Y or call the Welcome Center at 908-233-2700 to register. No additional paperwork is needed.
