2019 State Recap

Reno Aquatic Club had another successful State meet! There were many outstanding races and the swimmers were having fun. Overall, the team had over 70% best times which is great. In the team points, we did drop some places compared to last year, but we will use that as motivation to get better! Next year’s State meet is in Carson City. The goal for the team is to get many more swimmers participating.

Congratulations to Emma Karam for setting one ALL-TIME team, two Nevada State records (100 back and 200 back), and three RENO 15-16 records!

ALL-TIME Records

200 backstroke – 1:56.76 – broke her own record of 1:58.25 set in January of 2019

15-16 Records

50 freestyle – 24.01 – broke her own record of 24.13 set in October of 2019

100 backstroke – 55.07 – broke her own record of 56.20 set in October of 2019

200 backstroke – 1:56.76 – broke McKenna Meyer’s record of 2:01.53 set in December of 2013
