The Moc 1 group is for swimmers who are at least 6 years old and can complete a 25-yard freestyle and a 25-yard backstroke. Training centers on basic drills and progressions for all 4 strokes. We recommend athletes attend practice at least twice per week and encourage participation in local meets.
Moc 1 Coach: Bora Yatagan
The Moc 2 group is for swimmers who are at least 7 years old, can complete a 50-yard freestyle and a 50-yard backstroke, and have a basic understanding of breaststroke and butterfly. Drills and progressions for all 4 strokes step up in complexity from those introduced in Moc 1, requiring superior balance and coordination in the water. Athletes in this group focus on solidifying their knowledge of all 4 strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique. We recommend athletes attend practice at least three times per week and strongly encourage participation in local meets.
Moc 2 Coach: Doug Fetchen
The Moc 3 group is for swimmers who are at least 8 years old and can complete a legal 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard IM, and a legal 50 of all 4 strokes. Stroke fundamentals continue to be the main focus in this group; however, Moc 3 athletes will also begin to be challenged aerobically and given more opportunities to race and learn racing strategies. Training is structured to include ample opportunity for play and team building to coincide with increased competitiveness. We strongly recommend athletes attend at least three practices per week and expect participation in meets. Saturday practice may be offered to select athletes.
Moc 3 Coach: John Lupton
