The following groups are offered at this location:

NAVY 1 (10 & under novice) Swimmers will develop the four strokes, legal by USA Swimming standards. In addition, swimmers will learn how to do legal freestyle flip turns, legal finishes or turns for breaststroke and butterfly and will learn to be “start legal” for swim meet participation. Once a swimmer has learned these skills and is 9 or 10 years of age, the swimmer can move on to Orange 1. Swimmers that are 8 and under and achieve 3 blue time standards, may also move up to Orange 1. This group trains Monday-Thursday afternoons from 3:45-4:30 and Friday afternoons from 3:00-4:00 during the school year and Monday-Friday mornings during the summer months.

These swimmers may continue to swim in this group until the season ends or until reaching Orange 2 time standards. If the swimmer ages up during the summer break or if the swimmer does not achieve Orange 6 time standards by the end of the season, in both cases, the swimmer will start the new season in Navy 2 or Navy 3. This group trains Monday-Friday afternoons during the school year and Monday-Friday mornings during the summer months. Swimmers that are 8 & under and achieve 3, 8 & under blue times, will continue to develop in this group until the swimmer reaches the 9th birthday. At that time, the coach may consider continuing the swimmer’s development in this group or promoting the swimmer to Orange 2 based on time standards.
