Founder of Royal Swim Team and Head Coach
Val Bagri graduated from University of Physical Culture in Ukraine with master's degree in Physical Education, specializing in swimming. Also, completed two years of Physiology, Sport Medicine and Biomechanics of Competitive Swimming Strokes School.
Val is a National, Olympic trial swimmer with over 20 years of professional swimming experience. While representing the National Swim Team of Monaco Val was a finalist at International Mare Nostrum swim meets: Monte Carlo, Canet, Barcelona, and Rome (100 & 200 Breaststroke). Also, Val was a finalist of the World Cup in Paris and French Championships and became Gold medalist at French Cup in 2000 (50, 100, 200 Breaststroke).
Has over 20 years of coaching experience. In 2010, Val was selected to be a coach for Southern California Pacific Coast All Star Team. Achievements during coaching: Olympic Trials, National, Junior National and Junior Olympics swimmers.
For the past 14 years Val has completely dedicated himself to Royal Swim Team since it was founded in 2005. He coaches Junior National and National groups and provides stroke clinics.
Master Swimming Achievements:
2014 Spring Nationals, U.S. Masters Swimming in Santa Clara: became a national champion, gold medalist 50 breaststroke 26.58, and silver medalist 100 breaststroke.
2014 U.S. Masters Swimming Summer Nationals in Maryland: gold medalist in both 50 and 100 meters breaststroke.
2017 Spring Nationals, U.S. Masters Swimming in Riverside, CA: gold medalist in 100 and 200 breaststroke and silver medalist 50 breaststroke.
2017 World Masters Championship in Budapest, Hungary: silver medalist 100 breaststroke.
Val is married and has an 11 years old son who also competes for Royal swim team.
