Pacific Swim is the best learn-to-swim program and competitive swim team in the county. We teach beginners with and without the swim bubble. Our coaches and swim instructors are certified by USA Swimming. Pacific Swim has taught thousands of children in San Diego to become water-safe over the past 24 years. Swimmers become efficient in the four competitive strokes while swimming for fun or for the highest level of competition.
Beginner Swim Lessons (All lessons with an in the water instructor) 3:1 ratio in class.
$175 for 8 lessons (2 times per week for 4 weeks) March through October
They learn to swim in any depth of water, swim from point A to B, tread water, dive, jump, and have total confidence in the pool. They begin to learn breath control. Beginners attend class twice a week for 30-minute lessons with a 3:1 student to teacher ratio. Beginner lessons will be held Monday- Thursday from 9am-1pm & from 2:30pm-5:30pm in the afternoons. On Saturdays the lessons will run from 9am-12pm. Swimmers in the beginner lessons are taught individually. Once they can tread water, swim from A to B and are considered water-safe, they will to learn how to swim freestyle, side-breathing, backstroke and butterfly. The instructor will be in the water to help get them on their way.

Beginner Novice (These are group lessons for kids who are water safe)
$160 a month (3 times per week & 30 min. practices) year round
In this next level of swimming, swimmers begin to master breathing, build endurance, and -learn dives and underwater control. They learn the four strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. There are different levels within this group, and children will be placed appropriately. This group swims 3 times per week for 30 minutes
Advanced Novice$160 per month (3 times per weeks & 1-hr. Practices) Year round
Efficient strokes, and legal starts, turns, and finishes are the focus of this group. Swimmers learn how to use the pace clock and do simple sets. They also play games, do drills, build endurance, and have fun while perfecting their strokes. These swimmers can also go to the novice swim meets as well as “C” meets, which are the lowest level of competitive swim meets. By the time swimmers move up from this group they will be ready to swim on the competitive team. This group swims for 1 hour 3 times a week.
