Social Distancing and Facility Guidelines
We will continue to update this page as needed, with information regarding our facility and Social distancing guidelines as we head back to the pool!

Please let us know if you have any questions. Our ability to offer programming is dependent on our families and swimmer's ability to adhere to the guidelines below. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation to provide a safe environment for our swimmers and coaches.

Please see the information below, and be sure to view the videos for each facility as it pertains to your athlete's practice group.

What to expect

Just a few things we want to be sure that everyone sees and understands before we begin. Our ability to follow facility rules and guidelines, as well as that of the organization is imperative!

With the Covid restrictions on businesses and gatherings being lifted in Nashville beginning on May 14, NAC will be adjusting our protocols to align with the city. Please read through the following changes that will go into effect beginning May 14, 2021.

  1. All capacity limits will no longer be in effect at Centennial Sportsplex. NAC will be able to have spectators in the facility for all practices and meets. Spectators and swimmers can enter the building using the main lobby doors. Please let the front desk person know you are with NAC. Also, moving forward, our swim meets will be returning to normal capacity for the pool deck and in the bleacher area.
  2. The number of swimmers per lane will no longer be restricted by the health department or the facility. NAC will be determining the number of kids per lane based upon space and attendance of each group. Despite these new changes, we will be sticking with our current practice schedule until May 26th. Be on the lookout for a new summer swim schedule to come from the coaches soon.
  3. Practice groups will be able to run from the same side of the pool. This has probably been one of the toughest restrictions as it is never ideal to not keep the swimmers connected and engaged on the wall as a group. We are really looking forward to being able to instruct and run the swimmers from the same side of the pool for each practice group.

One thing that will NOT change is that all patrons of the Centennial Sportsplex will still be required to wear a mask at all times while in the facility.

We ask that each family use their best judgement as to whether this return to normal practice and swim meet situation is good for your swimmer and your family at this time.  NAC fully realizes that each family has specific circumstances in which they need to operate in when it comes to attending public activities. The club is not in a position where we can accommodate each family’s specific circumstances if they are more restrictive than what has been allowed by our city Mayor and Metro Health Department. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your group coach for more specific guidelines.
